Project: ABI01 - Resonance, centrepiece

It seems in recent years that Australia, homeland of the famous Mark Newson, is becoming a crucible of young, dynamic and interesting designers. This large centrepiece revisits a theme already addressed in Italian design: that of the sheet steel cut first flat, then bent and welded to achieve its final form, recalling the basket designed by Bruno Munari for Danese in the �50s and the experiments of Silvio Coppola for us in the early �70s, but done with such new grace and freshness as to merit production.
